Trailer clip analysis and organisation- School routine scene

After filming part of the 'Love Note' trailer, I've decided to analyse why and what was involved in this scene.

Drafting Poster Ideas

I further experimented with the trailer poster, but on this occasion I thought about making the notebook the icon of the poster instead of the protagonist.

After researching on how notebooks are displayed in photography, I thought of these poster ideas:

The first one will have sections which'll show a feature of a person and the notebook will be the centre piece. This shows the many people over time that the notebook influenced and changed the lives of. And that love never ends, it reaches out to all kind of people.

The second poster idea shows the notebook opening, displaying the name 'Love Note' written inside. 'Note' has a red tinge as the letters fall out of the book itself. It is as if the text is escaping as the love escapes the book so to couple the names that have been written inside. Red resembles love, but the red is quite pale so it's not too intense- a weak colour. Though love is intense, the love that comes out of the notebook is not intense, true love, instead it is love that has been forced and controlled resulting in a weak and unsteady relationship.

After some thought, I believe I'll consider the first poster as it fits the romantic comedy, light hearted genre better than the second (that appears more sinister and dangerous) and it reflects the story better with providing an idea of the many people involved within and outside of the notebooks powers.

Experimenting with Adobe Premier

I spent some time working with the software Adobe Premier where I edited, cut and ordered my clips with background music.
So far, this is what I came up with, the music and 'universal studios' image won't be included in the final trailer but had allowed me to get an idea of how it could look together.

My first opinions of Adobe Premier has lead me to realise the complexity of the software and what could be involved in a short clip, but I feel that compared to other software like MovePlus, I prefer Premier better.

Planning and Drafting Poster and Magazine cover layout

I decided to draft out small thumbnails of ideas showing how I intend to layout my magazine cover and poster. These might change later but this is my first thoughts.
